In certain circumstances, another party besides the supplier can issue a self-billed e-invoice, as detailed in Section 8 of the e-Invoice Specific Guideline. A self-billed invoice is initially issued by the buyer. Version 1.0 of the self-billed invoice, which has the same structure as version 1.1 but with signature validation disabled, will eventually be deprecated and replaced by version 1.1. Version 1.1 is the initial version supported by the MyInvois System.
