Course Description

'Microsoft Excel 101 Basic Formulas and Functions' is an interactive e-module that provides an step-by-step reference guide to help employees get familiarised with Excel quickly. By completing this course, employees should be able to have sufficient knowledge in using Excel to perform job tasks such as entering, editing, formatting and calculating data.

This modules teaches how to build formulas and array formulas, as well as introduces different types of functions in Excel including a comprehensive library of statistical functions that can be used in your work. The module also discusses how to work with text and numeric data in Excel. 

This module covers Excel 2022 Office 35 version. The module comes with downloadable worksheets and exercises to enhance understanding of the materials taught.

It is divided into four lessons:

  • Lesson One: Excel Workbook Structure
  • Lesson Two: Text and Numeric Data
  • Lesson Three: Basic Formulas
  • Lesson Four: Basic Functions

The Microsoft Excel 101 e-learning series consists of a series of interactive e-modules that provide an easy-to-reference guide to help employees get familiarised with Excel quickly. It helps employees learn to utilise Excel’s in-built capabilities to perform their job tasks efficiently. Basic Functions and Formulas is the first module in this series. It explores the use of formulas and functions and deals specifically with numeric data. By completing this course, the learner should be able to have sufficient knowledge in using Excel to perform job tasks such as entering, editing, formatting and calculating data. This module covers Excel 2022 Office 36. version.
